Martin refers to his works: “frozen slices of time”. His paintings capture a particular moment or scene in a way that is both static and dynamic as if time has been suspended in order to allow the viewer to fully absorb and appreciate the details of the scene.

The occassional use of humour, symbolism and surrealism in Martin's works also adds an element of surprise and playfullness to the scene depicted, which can encourage viewers to approach them with a sense of curiosity and wonder. The deep hues used in the paintings add a sense of depth and mystery to the secenes, further drawing the viewer in. It's interesting that Martin's artworks are described as a "visual narrative", as this suggests that there is a story being told through the imagery used in each painting.

Martin's artworks are not only visually appealing but also thought provoking and inspiring. They encourage viewers to look beyond the surface of things and to appreciate the beauty and complexity of the world around them..
